The Uni-ball Vision Elite roller ball pen features the Uni-flow ink system, which creates a steady flow of water-resistant ink and smooth, consistent color. The pigment-based ink forms an indelible bond to paper, resulting in strong colors and document security. It is resistant to chemicals that can wash away dye-based inks, thus preventing check washing (a common method of check fraud). The ink is acid-free, fade-resistant, and of archival quality, ideal for valuable documents. The pen is airplane-safe—a protective reservoir inside the barrel keeps air from expanding in the ink tube, thereby preventing in-flight leaks. The sleek durable metal clip, bend-resistant stainless steel tip, and tungsten carbide roller ball enhance the look and performance of the pen.

The Vision Elite BLX collection features intriguing dark-toned colors created by infusing black ink with color.

Smooth, clear lines, personally preferred over black ink. Ink dries fast and looks great on my Field Notes and Mnemosyne notepads.

Love the way these pens write. So smooth! Could be a little more purple in the ink.

I bought this Purple-Black in addition to a Blue-Black looking to try new colors. While I'm a big fan of the Blue-Black and the Vision Elite in general, I found this color absolutely horrible. It puts down a nice looking line initially, but it then dries on the page as a very dry, muted, purple/grey/brown color with no appeal whatsoever.

It works. It writes the same as all pens in the line. But I'm not even gonna bother keeping it, or else I might accidentally write in this color again.
