This is the most brilliant, interesting blue ink I've found, and despite not being "business," it's still my favorite--I use far more of this than any of my others.

Love, love, love this ink! This was the first bottled ink I purchased from JetPens and it does not disappoint! It is an absolutely lovely turquoise color. I filled it up in my pilot metropolitan and have never looked back. Just a warning, the ink does bleed and feather on cheap paper such as leaf paper. When I am taking notes with this ink, I just have to be careful to write on only one side of the page. The color stands out well from the white pages and makes studying a joy. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is my absolute favourite 'turquoisy' ink ever. For me it is THE perfect turquoise color.

I am not happy that the company chose to re-name the ink since "South Seas Blue" really is what the ink looks like, but at least it remains the same beautiful color no matter what the name!

Excellent flow in most any pen that I have tried to using it in, but no it is not in the least waterproof . Unless noted 'water-resistant', 'bullet-proof' or some such thing most fountain pen inks are not water proof or water resistant so this quality is the norm rather than the exception.

this is an additional review to note that South Sea Blue is now Inspired Blue. I have run two full eyedropper loads of this ink through my Platinum Preppy with 03 nib ("fine"). It is the fastest, smoothest pen/ink combo that I have. it is great for high-speed note taking.

But beware, this is is not in the least water-resistant. Spill water on your writing and it will be gone!

The ink is very close to injet printer cyan -- just a bit greener. It tends to darken if you pause writing, but that gives the mass of text a lively apperance. I use it in a Platinum Preppy converted to eyedropper fill. This combination is very smooth, fast and fluid. Now I fall back to my old Castell TG .35 technical pen only when tiny writing is needed.

Simple, relatively cheap blue ink. The first ink I've purchased to go with the first fountain pen I've purchased. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this ink to anyone else like me who doesn't know much about fountain pens yet and wants an ink that just works.

Before this purchase, I thought this is regular blue color ink.
But, the color is a bit close to the turquoise blue.
I still love the quality of this ink.

The regular blue color is serenity blue for this brand.

This shade of blue is a little unpredictable. At times, it comes out really dark, and almost refined. And other times, it lays down as if it's a giddy shade of blue akin to the shade little children see when they look up at the sky. Either way, I still like the ink, it just has a slight tendency to surprise you.

Stellar ink at a great price. Really lovely sky-blue/turquoise color, nice shading, a bit of metallic pink/red sheen at the edges, good lubrication, and dries quickly. The bottle is thoughtfully designed, with a wide mouth to accommodate almost any nib size and faceted sides so that you can tip the bottle for easier filling when the ink level gets low. It would be a fantastic ink at any price, but it's also one of the least expensive you can lay your hands on.
