Water brushes are innovative painting tools that are portable, convenient, and easy to use! Simply fill the water brush with water, squeeze to moisten the tip, and squeeze to dispense more water as you paint. This reservoir fill system can eliminate the need for a free-standing cup of water, which can be a hassle when painting on the go. One fully loaded reservoir holds 7 ml of water, which is often enough to supply an entire canvas.

Water brushes are great for blending watercolor paints to create smooth gradients. They can be used with different paint media, such as the Yasutomo Niji Pearlescent Watercolor Sets as well as traditional watercolor paints. They can also be used in rubber stamping, silk painting, and various other art projects. Another handy application is sealing envelopes or applying postage stamps.

The broad tip of this Flat brush is 12 mm wide. And this brush actually contains two brush types—part of the plastic holder at the tip comes off, as shown in the photos, to create a longer brush.

Note: this water brush is identical to the Kuretake Water brush - 2 Way - Flat Head.

The Yasutomo Niji Waterbrush - Flat brush is a cool brush to invest in. Its nice to have a portable flat brush when your out.It was hard to get use to it at first, but it was worth the effort. Its a lot essayer to get in those big areas on my paintings. It was hard to get the water in the brush. I didn't know if you were to keep the little black cap on or take it out to get the water in, but you can do both. the essay way is to just leave it and just put it under running water and press the push area on the body multiple times. Then put the brush part back on. I don't know if that's how your suppose to do it, but it works. The The Yasutomo Niji Waterbrush - Flat brush is worth getting, but it doesn't beat a normal flat brush.

I really got hooked into these water bushes, wish I knew about them in college. Anyway what I didn't realize is that this is actually a 2 in one kind of brush. If you pull the plastic top off,it becomes a large soaker brush.
The water takes a while to get down to the bristles, but once you squeeze and watch the water reach them they start getting soaked-you really have to squeeze. But it works.

Works great once you get it filled. Maybe I missed something but the only way I could fill it through the tiny hole was to squeeze while holding under a trickle of water.

A flat water brush is very hard to find in any retail store. Definitely add this one to your list. Jet Pens has great service- very fast delivery on any of their products on products you would not find elsewhere.
