Don't expect much here....

Don't expect much here. A basic - we'll call it "economical" pencil is all you'll get. There is no clip nor an eraser, just a orange cap. The advance mechanism pushes out way too much lead per click and so you waste a lot of lead.

There is a plus however, the triangle barrel is easy and comfortable to hold.

A good candidate to pass the $25 free shipping barrier nonetheless.

light weight and streamlined....

light weight and streamlined. i would like to use this more often except the metal tip that the lead comes out of seems as if its a .7 allowance for a .5 lead so there is a lot of wiggle and almost 100% of the time lead breakage. as one of the other reviews stated its a good shipping limit barrier breaker. i have found one good use for it and it was to teach me to write/draw with extra light pressure. which has its pros and cons.

the lead won't even push...

the lead won't even push out. I have tried using several .5 mm leads on it and it just won't extend the lead. I have spent hours clicking the orange cap, but no luck. this is a cheap mechanical pencil, but I wasn't expecting it to be so cheap to the point it won't even work properly. I am very upset. It does look nice though, too bad I can't even use it!

i think i liked this...

i think i liked this pencil more than others. it is very lightweight which is nice after writing notes after using a heavy ass drafting pencil all day. this actually makes me change my grip on the pencil, which is nice.i grip it at the thickest part so writing becomes a little easier on my hand, at least for me. like others said, there is no eraser or clip. this pencil would be screwed if i lost the orange thing. the leads would just come out

I really like this pencil....

I really like this pencil. I knew from the description that it would not have an eraser. Most of my wood pencils don't have an eraser (they are art pencils). I thought the body looked interesting and ergonomic, and orange is one of my favorite colors.

I was more than pleased when I got the pencil. It has a triangular shape - there are six sides to the upper barrel - three curved alternating with three flat. Ergonomics are different for everyone. For me, this pen is a pleasure to hold. For reference, my hand fits a men's medium glove. To me the original Cross pen feels like writing with a chopstick. This pencil definitely is not that experience. It's wide enough that my hand doesn't get tired. If I want to hold this pencil as a sketching pencil it's even better. The wide part is in just the right place for an overhand grip.

Tripod (traditional) grip - good
Overhand grip - great
underhand grip - OK

Lead advance seems about the same as other lead pencils. Push and hold gets me a little longer lead which again is good for sketching.
There is no eraser
It's about the same length as my other plastic lead pencils.
It has a very narrow inner barrel so it will only hold 2 - 3 extra leads. The orange cap holds them in and advances the lead.

Last, but not least, I am here to buy another one because I like it that much.
