Love love love this pencil....

Love love love this pencil. When i write I always seem to get very into it and put a lot of pressure on the pencil (Yes, i have snapped a few because of that). This is a solid Stainless Steel mechanical pencil that has lasted me a while in fact i still have my first one. it works like you paid a lot more for it.

I rarely write reviews.. but, the overall quality of this pencil prompted me to do so. I purchased it to use in a planner, anticipating the possibility of loss, and not wanting to risk losing an expensive pen. This 701 series from Zebra so closely resembles a "high end" set, like a Cross, or Waterman that it's errie! ...a fantastic bargin for a pen/pencil set, that looks like it cost 10 times more!!

Bought the pen and pencil...

Bought the pen and pencil set a while back. Sturdy and reliable still going strong. The machining on the grip is a very nice touch and speaks to the overall quality along with the weight. Only advantage to buying a Cross, a fancy box. Then again I seldom write with fancy boxes. For durability and actual feel, M-701 has it hands down. Only problem after a day at work, I realized I lost the cap to the pencil. Really simple solution, I cut a spent 22 long rifle shell case to fit and made a replacement cap (5 minutes with adjustments). The brass cap looks a little different but it keeps working and it is easily distinguishable from the pen.
