The Sarasa 3 writes the same beautiful gel lines like the rest of the Sarasa family, but in a multi pen form! The pen has a black, blue, and red ink pen in one simple body. It is the original line that the Sarasa 3+S came from, so it does not include a pencil. Those who use only pens may prefer this line because of its functional design and more economical price. The pen features a binder clip that can be used to clip the pen onto thicker objects without fear of breakage. Best of all, it writes in beautiful, fine point gel lines (which is rare to find in a multi-pen form). Multiple body colors available to fit your style.

Overall, this is an extremely well-designed pen. The grip is comfortable and the body is thick--about what one would expect from a 4+1 ballpoint multi pen. Gel pens use a lot of ink, and the thick body allows for refills which last for a reasonable amount of time--unlike any other gel multi-pen I've seen. The colors are dark, making written text a pleasure to read.

The one drawback of this pen, which usually keeps me from using it, is that the blue ink is too dark. In low-light conditions, I am unable to discern the difference between blue and black--a huge problem since there are only three colors to work with and I like to color code things. There is a green ink refill available. But, to my knowledge, there is no way to change the color of the blue tab used to extend the pen tip. The perfectionist in me does not like the idea of sliding a blue tab and getting green ink.
