I am as picky as they..., December 16, 2009

I am as picky as they come when it comes to my writing pals. I bought the Sharbo X and received this pen about a week before I got the Sharbo X. I was worried I had made a bad decision in buying this pen... Well now I have 2 of these pens because I wanted to make sure that in case I lose it I'll still have another. I am in love with the .4 ballpoint and the smoothness with which it writes. I am in the field of science which puts me in the category of fine point users, and this pen nails it. Accept no substitutes. There are too many good things to say about this pen. Buy it, you wont regret it. If you don't like it I will buy it from you. Cheers
Well even after being..., July 21, 2009
Well even after being aprehensive about spending so much on a pen, I took a chance and bought it. I have to say that I am very pleased with it, in fact so much that I will look into getting a 3-function multi-pen by Zebra. One really neat thing I found is that while the 0.4mm ballpoint pen is cool, the 0.7mm refill from the Zebra mini-pens is identical in size, so it also fits this pen. I prefer the 0.7mm refills since the 0.4mm ballpoint is 'too' pointy so even slight pressure while writing is transferred to the backside of the same page. I never had any ink leak as the other reviewer did. It was always ready to write with and the only draw-back is that the pen refills are so short and thin that I managed to finish one ink refill within about 3½ months; but the refills are so cheap, it would be foolish not to stock up on them. The 0.3mm pencil is great (although it does take some time to get used to because the point gets too 'sharp' if you constantly write with the pen at a very low angle) if you work with numbers/math such as myself, so you can really condense your work on a page without making things illegible or smeary. So all in all, if you hardly need more than one ink color, and want a 0.3mm pencil and the choice of 0.4mm or 0.7mm ballpoint refill, this IS the pen/pencil for you.

i bought this pen/pencil with high expectations, yet was disappointed. frequently i twist open the pen element and am met with leaky ink covering the tip of my pen. then when i begin to write, the pen no longer wants to allow its ink to flow freely, and i consistently have gaps in my ink flow. relative to the price tag, i hoped for a better product. also, despite what the other reviews indicate, the casing of the pen is not desirable, in that though it is metal, due to the matte finish of the metal, it looks cheap. regarding weight, it is very light, neither good nor bad, just an observation. the pencil seems to work well, but i would recommend a level up in lead hardness, due to the frequency of breaks that i experience. as a whole, i do not recommend this pen/pencil.

SUPER SLIM PEN!
i find it hard to write with. the style is really nice though.
and one negative thing is that idk how to put the lead in.. i have to open the pen through the front to put in the lead. and your penmanship has to be perfect for this pen because you can see every single flaw of your handwriting with this pen. the ink gets kind of ball at times (theres little clumps of ink in some spots)

An absolutely delicious writing tool! Not only is it highly uncommon with its .4 mm ballpoint and .3 mm pencil combo -- the ease of use and stunning performance is truly something to brag about. The metal frame is weighty yet has a lightness about it for comfort. Definately worth the price -- though I do wish it weren't so expensive.
