One of my favorite pens! My love for ballpoint multi-pens is probably now the stuff of legend, but the Zebra Surari comes second on that list (behind the inimitable Jetstream 4+1). The plastic body is quite light and slimmer than most other 3- or 4-cartridge pens, which is nice if sometimes, like me, your hands get a little tired from holding up bigger and heavier pens. The downside is that it maybe doesn't look as "classy" as the Jetstream or the Dr. Grip 4+1s; this means I tend to use it for note-taking in the library or lectures but not at conferences and things. The grip is comfortable but nothing remarkable; the tabs are easily clicked, although I did find it confusing at first because they go in reverse of the usual color order. The ink itself is great - smooth and dark with no streaks, though the blue and green are prone to the occasional glob. The green ink is possibly the most unique ballpoint green I've ever encountered - it's much darker and warmer-toned, almost a forest green, and I absolutely love it!

So I just received my this pen. It is very lightweight and has a nice rubber grip. The pen feels comfotable to hold and the point is very fine. It is very smooth! Red, Green, and Blue are nice and bright. I have ordered many pens and just as the rest this is a good quality pen.

Lightweight, well distributed, acceptable thickness/slimness. But, I don't like emulsion inks very much, they look a lot like ballpoint (Very glossy on paper), while I prefer gel inks (Most of the time, matte and profound darker color).

I love love LOVE this Multi-Pen. Due to the overall positive reviews on all models of this pen, I decided to take the plunge and purchase two bodies (one black and one clear).

As a student, color coding notes makes things easier to find and emphasize. What better reminder can one have than bold red ink screaming TEST MATERIAL next to an organic chemistry mecthestren the strength of this pen lies in its ink. I'm not a fan of ballpoint pen because it smears, but I am quite fond of using multicolor pen during lectures. All they sold in my local brick-and-mortar shops were those BiC ballpoint multi-pens. Being an office supply nerd, I was pretty determined to find a gel ink multicolor pen. This comes pretty darn close to my ideal. The colored (RGBlackBlue) ink flows out of the pen smoothly, with much less smearing compared to my old BiC ballpoint.

I don't use the clip at all, but I imagine it would be somewhat difficult to use the clip (which doubles as the plunger for the black barrel) when it is depressed. In terms of ergonomics, the barrel is the perfect size for my hand (I have big hands, so I like thicker barrels). It's definitely thinner than the BiC though. I can't attest to long-term longevity yet, but this pen has survived being jostled around in my pencil bag and tossed aside for the past four weeks of class rather nicely.

Overall, I highly recommend this pen.

Of the batch of multi-pens I bought (Acroball 3, Vicuna 2+1, Jetstream3 0.5mm), I was most excited about this one. I loved that it had four colors (including green!) and a spring-loaded clip. When I took it out of the packaging, however, it immediately disappointed me. It was far thicker than I thought it would be--approximately 12mm at the grip--and felt big in addition to looking big.

When I started writing with it, I immediately liked the dark colors it put out. However, the more I used it, the more I saw regular globs every few letters, no matter which color I used. The different plungers already feel as if they're weaker than they used to be (and less satisfying than all the other multi-pens in my batch), and I've only been playing with the pen for a week or two. Also, the clip is fairly wimpy and difficult to manipulate because the clip doesn't open when it's slid down. And it (for the black ink) slides down way too easily. I don't put it in my pocket because the way I put it in could easily make the clip slide down and I would have black scribbles on the inside of my coat pocket.

I feel bad giving this pen such a negative review because it has so much potential. If they fixed the ink to make it less globby (while keeping the rich, dark colors), tightened the whole thing into a thinner, smaller package, and strengthened all the springs (on the clip and the plungers), then this would probably have been my favorite pen. As it stands, however, nearly everything it attempts to do is sub-par compared to other alternatives. I cannot come up with any instance in which I would recommend this pen.

I have to say, this pen has changed my style for notes.
All though I never put the same color on the left versus the right, I am in love.
Now, I am on the search for 0.5 mm multipen.

I like that the ink is smoother than ballpoint for great writing.
I really do love multipens.

WOW! The color of the barrel is stunning! The inks flow smoothly and are very dark. The ink colors are comparable to the Uni Jet Stream pens. An absolutely bargain for the quality ink, beauty, and comfort of this pen! Another great find at Jet Pens! LOVE IT!!!

I much prefer this ink over the Jetstream. The ink is vivid, it writes smoothly, and I love multipens. I've been using it for law school as a 1L and the only downsides are that a) the green ink is a horrid shade, it's like a vomit green, b) it can get inky and goopy, and c) the ink runs out pretty quickly. I haven't found the perfect pen for school yet, but this pen is the one I use the most, followed by the BIC regular ballpoint 4 color multipen with a grip, and then the uniball Jetstream 3 color multipen. Overall, I feel like the value of the pen is about or slightly more than what you're paying for, especially compared to the other pens at office supply stores.

I have been using this pen for a while... needed a good multi pen for notes. From the start it worked fantastic, runs smoothly over different types of paper (binder, printer/copy, textbook). Gotta wait a bit for it to dry since it's gel ink. The only issue is the green cartridge breaks up... But, I'd buy it again/get the refills.

It is so-so pen. I like the Surari ink; however, this pen is somehow making ink-leak dots here & there. (Regular Surari ink never does that.)
I love the color of barrel, retractable function, and its clear Blue-Green color. Lovely. My husband uses this as work pen. Not recommended for journal writing... great for work purpose !

Just got this pen today. I really wanted a multi-pen that put down a thick line (.7) with gel ink, so I thought that this new revolutionary ink was worth a try. It wasn't! Writes exactly like a ballpoint, with occasional globs. Not what I was hoping for.

This multi pen have the most common color~but, it is the most smoothy multi pen I have used. I also have the style fit, slicci.

Recommend this to everyone!!
