It's a tiny bit scratchy in the .5 size, but not in a bad way, especially if you use good quality paper. Well balanced, well weighted. Excellent pen for the price.

The ink occasionally blobs and smears. The ink is nice and smooth though. the jetstream is better in my opinion, but then again this is less expensive. I'd recommend this for right-handers, because the ink takes a short amount of time to dry, although left handed people could probably write with this too. You might also want to try a Vicuna, but the ink cartridge in the vicuna is thin and runs out sort of fast under heavy use.

This is an outstanding pen. Writing is smooth and effortless. The ink supports great detail in your script. I am using the 0.7mm point. Couldn't ask for better!

The Zebra Surari writes...
The Zebra Surari writes smoothly, however, the ink tends to clump up on the sheet of paper as you write. That's no big deal though, since it's also common with many ink pens. The ink does take quite a while to dry. The price is reasonable, too.

It writes really smoothly and fits very comfortably in the hand. The low price is just icing on an already great cake.

This is an extremely smooth pen. Really nice to write with. And the ink flows very well. Can't wait to see how the 1.0mm refill is gonna do.

I bought this out of curiosity and to round out my order. It writes almost too smoothly - my handwriting goes every which way, but for the price, it is a good pen. I was disappointed though, that it blots like regular ballpoints tend to do. The .7 writes a fairly fine line and I am curious how the .5 would write and if it would blot less.
