The new Emulsion ink from Zebra combines the best quality of a ballpoint and gel ink pen. It has the smoothness of an oil-based ballpoint ink pen but features the vibrant colors of a gel ink pen. That's an incredible development. The Emulsion is supposedly even smoother than "low friction" ballpoint pens, is smear-proof and water resistant. The Zebra Surari is available in multiple tip sizes and colors.
Love this pen - I bought the Surari 0.7 and 0.5 mm pens alongside the Uni
Jet-Stream equivalents, and this is my favorite of the lot. Both 0.5 mm pens
ended up being a bit too fine for me, and just a bit too scratchy and
desaturated on paper. The 0.7 mm Jet-Stream tends to displace ink as I write, so
that in the more heavy-handed strokes in my handwriting there is a streak where
the paper shows through the ink.
The 0.7 mm Surari just writes just right: a fine line that is jet-black through
its width, with minimal drag on the paper and no feathering or smearing. The
turquoise barrel is a lovely color, too.
I think this is my new #1. It was everything I was hoping it'd be. Writes like
butter. Ink is lovely and dark. The body has a super comfortable grip, and
perfect thickness. I can write notes all day with this. I'm a ballpoint girl and
this is perfection.
