The Zebra Techno Line...,
June 22, 2011
The Zebra Techno Line 0.4mm gives same width on regular notebook paper as
Staedler Mars 924 0.2mm. But the look of lines absolutely different, Staedler
writes smooth, solid, clean, black lines. Writing with Zebra pen have small feel
of scratching a paper, not smooth, not solid, but yes it does still black
lines.
Conclusion: $2.00 is best price for Zebra Techno Line pen.

So it turned out that I had a defect and I got another one that writes really
well. So I take back what I said about this pen because it does write well and
is worth getting.

Inconsistent ink flow. Writes a very thin line. Will not be writing letters with
this pen.

Sorry, but I am not impressed with this pen. The pen seems to drag and at times
the point seems to catch on the paper. The 0.4mm point is too fine. Your written
text is difficult to read.

I had a similar experience to the user below who said it left blotches of ink
when writing. I do like the way it writes. Very fine. But occasionally it will
leave splotches of ink as I write and that's not good.

I don't know if I just got a defective pen or what, but this pen writes horribly
for me. It's smooth, but it leaves blotches of ink everywhere. And my notes look
messy and if I run my hands over it, it smears even more. I got this pen with my
first Jetstream and this pen is about 10 tens worse...
Perhaps I got the bad one out of the batch, but I am very unhappy with this pen
and do not trust Zebra pens anymore...

This is a great pen. The ink quality is more like a gel pen (you dont have to
press hard to write). Awesome color with a strong tip. Lightweight, not bulky.

Follow-up: For those who, like me, couldn't figure out how to open the pen, the
kind folks at JetPens told me how. The metal part unscrews from the bottom of
the barrel. Remove cartridge and spring, put new cartridge into spring and
insert into barrel, then screw together again. I needed to use two of those
round rubber thingies meant for opening jars to get a grip. Voila! Hope this
helps others.

I love this pen! But, as noted by another user, I cannot figure out how to open
it to put in the refill. Can anyone PLEASE tell us how to do this???

it. And I bought a refill for it!!

Very smooth pen, not scratchy at all. I have this pen in almost every color-
it's definitely my "go to" pen. Not ideal for people who like to write big
though. It's definitely for small writing. Perfect for me.
