DescriptionSpecificationsFrequently Asked Questions
The Tect 2way is a drafting pencil that offers both a shaker and a click lead extension function! Just twist ring above the grip to point to "lock" it to use the pencil as a normal click advance drafting pencil. Unlock the body and it becomes a shaker pencil that you can shake to extend lead automatically! The lead advances through an internal weight mechanism that extends lead upon movement. The pencil also features a fixed guide pipe length, clip and ribbed plastic grip.

I love this pencil above all. I tried many different pencils and this is probably one of the better pencils I've used. However the pencil only came with one spare lead, and a second less than half the size. I barely used this pencil for no more than a week and a half and the lead was depleted. This was its only flaw in my eyes. BTW the shaker mechanism/lock works great

This is overall, pretty good buy..I was attracted to the green, sleek look and the fact that it was .3, and from using it for awhile now, it's never malfunctioned, too badly).
The barrel lock makes little sense in being there since no matter how you shake the pencil, nothing loosens, and the only real problem would be the tiny erasers but I always make sure to use free erasers to prevent rubbing away the pencil's...and that the lead has a tendency to break off in the tip just enough to clog it and not enough to be retrieved without a needle...!!! But this is a common problem I've had with .3's.
The price of this buy is just a little to high, I would say...and it stinks that the colors don't carry over to all sizes.

I was drawn in by the color, and it's a nice shade of translucent green that I enjoy quite a bit. I rarely use the shaker function because I prefer having a lot of control over how much lead comes out, but it does work pretty fluidly, what little I have messed with it. Beyond that I like the pencil a lot, but it's not comfortable enough for me to use all the time. It's a preference thing.
