The Tect 2way now has a lightweight plastic version that is both colorful and functional.
The Tect 2way is a drafting pencil that offers BOTH a shaker AND a click lead extension function! Just twist ring above the grip to point to "lock" to use the pencil as a normal click advance drafting pencil. Unlock the body and it becomes a shaker pencil that you can shake to extend lead automatically! The lead advances through an internal weight mechanism that extends lead upon movement. Pencil also features a fixed guide pipe length, clip and ribbed plastic grip.

-This is a really awesome drafting pencil. The construction is weighty and feels
really sturdy; does not have any cheap qualities.
-The lock function on the shaking feature is incredibly handy.
-The metal clip of the pencil is shorter than normal. This means that if you're
one of those people that rotate the pencil in your hand to write on the sharper
edge of the graphite (i.e. me), your hand never hits the clip. So~~~ ingenious.
-When writing, the graphite piece really secure in the pencil's lead
acceleration chamber. Does not feel like it would break easily.
-The color is awesome
This pencil ROCKS! I love the balance on it, and the weight is perfect. I do
wish that more colors were offered in each size, but other than that it's great.
Awesome pencil! I love the weight of it, perfect for me. I also find the grip
really comfortable to write with. The lock function is really handy. Great

I bought this to replace a staedtler 925 which jammed and died, and it's served
me well. It's got a mostly plastic construction and does feel a little flimsy at
times, but it hasn't shown any major signs of wear after a year of pretty much
constant usage. The shaker and click mechanism feel solid, and I haven't yet had
issues with jams etc. A good little pencil overall.
