Article: Noodlers White Peacock Ink

After years of pursuing the elusive goal, Noodlers has been finally able to produce a true white ink for dipping pens. The ink consists of a 50% water and 50% gel ink that utilizes titanium oxide as a pigment (i.e. a true white). The result is a unique and rare ink that can write on multiple surfaces such as champagne glass, plastic and metal. The ink is able to show up on dark paper and can be applied to a variety of creative uses.

The ink works excellently with JetPens’ Tachikawa Tank Master nib and body, because the nib can do much more detailed work than an eye dropper highlighter pen or a brush pen can, and it combats the problem of ink bubbles (after shaking) that traditional dipping pens have major trouble with. The Tank Master nib's design naturally "squeezes" out bubbles and is famous as a drawing and art pen.

1. After a few weeks, the titanium oxide settles at the bottom of the bottle.

2. Shake the bottle for a good 5 minutes before using.

3. After being well shaken, the titanium oxide should mix well with the "gel water" solvent.

4. However, bubbles might form after shaking.

5. Use the pen nib to stir near the bottleneck to disperse the bubbles.

6. The fewer bubbles the ink surface has the more ink (not air) the nib can catch.

7. Soak the entire nib full of white ink.

8. Draw on dark paper.

9. Use Tachikawa Tank Master nib to do detailed art work with Noodler's White Peacock ink!

Enjoy!
