Best quality loose leaf paper???
sh00k - 06 May 2009, 10:50 am
I use the really cheap staples refill paper in my binder but when i write using gel pens (hi tec c, uniball um-100 / um-151s, others), the ink is visible on the other side. it's not 100% visible but it does make writing on the other side unacceptable. reading the other side of the page is even worse a few days after i've taken notes on both sides...
so i am wondering if anyone can recommend a good brand of paper that i can use my gel ink pens on? i would prefer college ruled loose leaf paper or even graphing paper.
Thanks,
- sh00k

Everyone ---
I found a really great website and I decided to make my own paper.
i use black 20 pound paper in my printer. and i found this great website that shows you how to make your own graphing paper with excel --
http://www.scribd.com/doc/231034/Make-Your-Own-Graph-Paper-With-Microsoft-Excel
so i made my own 20# graphing paper sheets! i am going to use these for the next couple of days to see whether or not it's any better than the cheap crap i am used to buying @ staples.
if the ink is still visible on the other side, i may bump up the pound on the paper to the next thickest - hoping it wont be too thick to put a hundred or so sheets into a binder....

Hi sh00k. There's also this site which I use:
http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/
Scroll down, there's lots of papers! Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Sam

mack,
thanks for the reply. i had run across that site yesterday. that site pretty much 'automates' what you can do with excel so that's cool.
i printed out some awesome looking paper yesterday on nice 20 pound paper. im going to take a picture of this when i get a chance...
i wrote on my newly printed paper yesterday with a variety of pens (hi tec c coleto, jetstream, uniball um-100) and did not see the ink on the other side. let me be more clear - i did see ink, very vaguely, but not so much that it would make reading the other side a problem. i think im going to be sticking to this paper from now on...

Hello guys!
Hi. I am looking for the best quality looseleaf paper available. I can only find crappy crap from places like Staples. I want it 3 hole punched and already printed with lines. I know I can print my own, but I don't want to.
I remember that it used to come in all sorts of grades and I have found one kind that is very good with fountain pens (Ecojot from Canada, but it is hard to find) but that is it.
Any assistance appreciated. There's just something so first day of school/fresh start/hopeful about filling a new binder with fresh lined paper and dividers...
