Dr. Grip "Center of Gravity" same as Dr. Grip G-Spec?

I was at Officemax yesterday. I bought a Dr. Grip "Center of Gravity" (It had a shorter name on the package, but I threw the package away :(
I was shocked at the price since I thought it cost less than it was, but now I compare it to the G-spec and they're about the same price. I was wondering if this pen is the same as the advertised G-Spec?
Pictures will be up soon. Just gotta take one and stuff.

You're gonna have to be a little more patient b/c I think my "cheap" $68.00 digicamera just broke...
So I'm gonna have to run to the store to get a cheap disposable one...

Yes, they're the same thing, but different marketing names only. No need for pictures anymore ;) Solved your problem. But I think the G-Spec-White that jetpens carries are so much cooler than the silver barrels available in the US.

Hey Betty,
Thanks. I guess I misjudged the price of a disposable camera that has digital cd included. I then got side tracked and started comparison shopping for digital cameras instead. Anyhow, I currently have my eye on the fujifilm Finepix 5.1 megapixel camera. It's sleek, has a big display, and hopefully will last longer than my HP camera did. (Which I found out was one of the least reliable digital camera brands, but they do sure do well as far as PCs and Printers go...*knock on wood*)
:)
I will have to wait for a my camera b/c I need a new eye exam b/c I think my headaches I've been getting are vision related...plus so many other things I have to do :(

I also thought that Pilot's DR. GRIP CENTER OF GRAVITY was the exact same thing as the DR. GRIP G-SPEC (Japan)/DR. GRIP EQUILIBRIUM (UK and maybe other European markets) - but no, I later noticed that they are different!
The Center of Gravity has a metal (or metal-like), weighted "ring" right around its middle section (it straddles the soft grip soction and the clear plastic barrel section). The G-Spec/Equilibrum has a plastic ring instead of a a metal-like ring. I tried the Japanese version at the store, and it felt substantially lighter than my Center of Gravity - I was so disappointed!
If you look at the plastic middle ring of the Jap./UK versions, it has notches out on both ends of the ring. The US's version doesn't have these notches.
Also, the US version has a metal clip, but all the Jap./UK versions I've seen have plastic clips.
I'm most disappointed in the much lighter feel of the Jap./UK ones. I don't really have much idea why the versions are different. I think the US version feels much better (natural in the hand). The lighter, Jap./UK version doesn't seem to be very unique, when compared to other retractable ballpoints of its class. Without that extra weight, it doesn't have a very unique feel.
One more thing - I was so disappointed to realize that the Center of Gravity mechanical pencil has that lighter, plastic ring, too! I was happily looking forward to using a Center of Gravity in pencil version, then got hit with the reality that the pencil isn't weighted. *sigh...*
I'd love to hear if anyone knows the reason behind these differences! :?

Before you buy a digital camera, do a web search for a refurbished FujIFilm FinPix S800. It's a 8 Mega Pixel Digital camera with a 2.5" LCD screen, Macro and Super Macro features (great for taking pics of pens) and takes great pics! I got mine on eBay and it came with some great goodies, including a 4 GB memory car as well as a reader. All I had to buy extra was a lens cap. Over time I bought rechargeable batteries and recently an AC adapter to save on batteries when I do a lot of shooting for my blog. I spent less on the camera and extras that the camera cost new, without the memory card and all!
