Can anyone tell me the names of the 5 metallic G-2's and where I might buy them? I can't seem to find them anywhere! :?

Here's a pic of the old G2 metallic colors (I'm trying to post it - if it doesn't show up below, that means I couldn't figure out how to do it). I also can't remember whether the purple shade is called purple or violet (I have a feeling it was violet). The colors are:

- pink
- green
- blue
- violet/purple
- bronze
- silver
- gold

Japan's Pilot website doesn't show the G2 (0.7mm size) in metallics any more, so I guess they have discontinued them. Too bad - I hate it when good pen companies discontinue models that you like!

Their Japanese site *does* show five metallic colors, though, for the G-KNOCK pen. The ink refill is the same as the G2's - just a different shell/casing. I've tried the some G-Knock metallics, and the grip was quite rubbery-grippy and nice. But I've tried the G-Knock also in a regular color like blue, and the grip material seemed different - not as rubbery, soft, or grippy. More slippery.

I think the some of the G2 Metallic colors are available from One's Better Living in the Toronto Scarborough area. Maybe if you call them, they can sell you some via mail.

To show a pic you need the url where the pic is being hosted. This can be a web album where you upload pics of your own or a site like JetPens. You then right click on the pic that you want and choose "copy image location" from the right click menu. Next you post a new topic or reply to get to the message body. Choose where you want the pic to appear then click the "Img" button. This will appear in the text area: [img] paste the url link that you copied earlier immediately behind the [img] then click the image buttton again. You'll notice that it now looks like this, "Img*. The result will look like this: [img]image url[/img] where image url is the url of the image that you copied earlier. Try it.

Have you seen the Pilot G1's at Cultpens.com? It looks like they currently still have them in all seven Pilot metallic colors, in 1.0mm size. It's a stick, not a retractable pen - don't know if you'd have an issue with that.

I have never seen the metallic ones, they look pretty neat, but I have too many pens on my wish list as it is ha ha :lol:.

This ebayer has a great deal on the G-2 metallic series, (only four metallic colors are available: Blue, Purple, Green & Pink), but you get 12 for $10.97, i say that is a great deal!).

I am glad i could be of help. That ebay store is the only place to buy the G-2 Metallics on the web (at least i could not find it anywhere else in my quick search). Hence, they are really popular, they only have eight listings left, all those who want it, get them while you can. :)
