Thia was inspired by drawings by Melissa Blackman from the JetPens Facebook page. It was outlined with a Pigma Micron and colored with colored pencils with a little color detail added with Magna Tank gel pens.

This is my second such drawing. I did something different this time. I only drew the left upper quadrant of the pic then scanned it into my computer. Using the Paint program I pieced it together. It wasn't as symmetrical as I had hoped so I did a bit of manipulation in Paint to get it as good as I could. Consequently it's not as symmetrical as it should be. My plans were to color it in Paint but the scanned image had all these stray pixels so I would have had a heck of a time cleaning it up before I could color it. Instead ran off a copy and used colored pencils and a Pigma Micron pen to color it and add a bit of detail. I scanned it back into the computer and had to us MS Photo Editor to lighten it up and I tried to clean up the background with Paint. It turned out OK.

 Awe, shucks, twernt nutin'.
Igor: Yes it was. You know that Onelonegunman can't draw, Master.
The Doctor: Now, Igor. Let's not speak ill of our host.
Igo: Oh, no, Master. That's not what I meant. It's just that it takes him effort to freehand draw, not like other, more gifted people.
The Doctor: Oh, well, for give me, Igor. Yes, I agree with you on that point.
Igor: Then why did he say that it was nothing? I don't understand.
The Doctor: It's a way to accept accolades for something when a person is embarrassed about being praised.
Igor: Oh... I don't understand.
The Doctor: Never mind, Igor. Let me make you a nice rat pie...

I used Staedtler Triplus Fineliners on this one. I think that I'll go back to using colored pencils...

I never really timed it. I know that the last one took about 3 hours, maybe a little longer. I stopped and checked my progress a lot as I was working mainly with only a small section at a time because I had the view greatly enlarged. The other ones took 3 or 4 hours work time. First I had to draw them in pencil, then in ink then color them. It doesn't matter to me how long it takes, though, as I may work on them until complete or I may stop for different reasons and come back to them. The ones on the computer can be tedious but I enjoy doing them and I really enjoy the finished project.

Your artwork is really neat! They remind me of what you see in a kaleidoscope or sacred geometry type shapes. I am impressed with how well you utilize MS paint too, great job :D!
