hi i was wondering if the hi tec c cavalier will take regular hi tec c refills?
or can it only use cavalier refills?

I have read several times that the Cavalier cannot take regular Hi Tec C refills. I have also read -- not tested -- that it can take Pilot V5 RT (retractable) and V7 RT refills, which would be a lot wider writing, obviously, but cheaper and more easily available.

I've been considering that pen myself. All the feedback I've read seems to be very positive.

They don't fit. Hi-Tec-C Cavalier refills are a different size. They are the same size as as Pilot G2 refills and will fit in any pen body that takes that size such as the Waterman Phileas Rollerball.

If anyone knows of a pen body that takes regular Hi-Tec-C refills I'd be interested to know.
