Looking for a high quality compact pen. Can anyone help?

Hi_Plains_Grifter - 11 Dec 2007, 07:50 pm
I'm looking for a compact high quality retractable pen for use in a new product I'm designing. It should be under 3.5 inches (~90mm) and be high quality and look somewhat durable (i.e. no clear plastic). Metal body is prefered. I've looked at the Retro 51 Elite which is about the right size and level of quality, but has a twist instead of a pushbutton retraction.

Thanks for your help,

Honestly a pen that short can't be comfortable at all to write for long periods.

The only one I can think of is the Fisher Space Pen. It seems to have a cult following & easily available in the US.

Thanks for the input, Betty. You may be right about the pen size. The space pen is nice and compact, but it's not a push button. The product I'm designing relaly needs the pen to be opperable with one hand.

My roommate in college had this zebra pen that is TINY. i hink jetpens has a small pilot like it. It writes very well, though very uncomfortable for me since i have large hands.

...

I just went to the website to see if they had the pilot, and i saw that they had the zebra one I am talking about.
