Mechanical pencil that looks like a pencil

hikeeba - 10 Jun 2009, 11:39 pm
I'm looking for a mini mechanical pencil that looks like a pencil. I bought one at a Books-A-Million in Alabama a few years back (came in wood grain and black). I don't have it anymore and can't find it again (went for around $5.) Any help is appreciated.

Thanks - Joe

This it? I have a bunch of them, they're pretty snazzy.

No, those aren't the ones, but thanks. (I've seen those at staples). The nice thing about the ones I'm looking for is they really look like pencils, without the white band at the bottom or a brand name splashed on it.
These were in a bucket in the impulse buy section near the registers.

Thanks, though.

Sorry. But I still think you should get some of those Zebra ones. They are pretty convincing from a test proctor's viewpoint when you're not allowed to use mechanical pencils. :P

i'm bummed that these only come in a pack of 12 everywhere that i've looked!

i'm totally one of those people that used to buy the multi pack when i started loving a certain pen and then i'd put all the remainder pens in a pencil box, forget about them, and then have tons of the same pen in random places throughout my room. do i still have them? uh ya... and i don't know why haha. and the sad part is that they're not even necessarily "nice" pens. i mean, i think for awhile i bought multiple packs of the standard blue papermate pens that everyone has, the ones you see at the bank, doctor's offices, etc. haha makes me laugh thinking about it and the fact that i devulged all that information to everyone else. cheers!

Thanks for the link. The ones I'm looking for are half-sized.
I did manage to contact Books a Million and get a response. They said the don't carry them anymore but could contact the distributor for me. But it's been over a week and they haven't followed up. Oh well....
