Pilot V Razor Point - What do you think?
Big Boss G - 12 Aug 2009, 08:21 am
Hey - I was wondering if I should get one of these, and what everyone's opinion on it.
How does it compare to other thin mm PILOT pens, or other fine tip pens?
Would I be wasting my money if I already have say a H-Tec-C pen, or Pilot Precise Zing / Precise Grip / V5 / V7 or a uni-ball etc.....
Also - it's $2.09 before tax :)

Girl, I wouldn't waist my money on them (because I already have). Most, but not all, of the pens that you mentioned that you already have write finer. And the razor is a porous point pen.

twice in one day? lol
I wasn't really concerned about point types really! :p
it seemed like it would write like a Precise Zing, or a V5/V7 - something needlepoint-ish. Or like a Precise Grip. One of those styles of tips/points
EDIT:
Had to look up Pourous Point. lol
Wait - the Razor Point is basically a felt tip marker?
That's totally not what I'm looking for if in fact that's what it is.

Yes, a porous point pen is a "felt" tip pen, though they probably don't use felt any more. Pens like the Razor are covered in a plastic encasement which gives the point some rigidity. The same technique is used for most technical pens as well.
