Question regardin the Uniball Signo MF3 2-color pen

sh00k - 14 Apr 2009, 12:28 am
I have the Uniball Signo MF3 2-color pen and had a question about it.

The pen is at this following link: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.php/products_id/1545

As the name states, it's a multi-pen. But i am wondering - which Uniball pen contains the same exact refills? I love how this unit writes but I would like 2 different physical pens - a blue one and a red one.

My question is - this is the multipen at the link above. where is the single-color pen for this particular ink/size?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I doubt that the refill is used in any other pen because they were designed for the multipen. Since they are 0.5 mm pens and Signos you might want to try the UM-100 0.5 mm pen.

^ thanks for the quick reply. I am actually going to get the UM-100 and also the uniball 207s - i think the 207 might be the one but i will have to buy them to find out.

thanks again.

so i picked up a black um-100 (.5mm) today at a local store... oh my god... this thing is perfect!

so i think i have found the perfect pen for me. it's a toss up between the um-100 (.5mm) and the jetstream (.7mm) .....

i have to order some of these um-100s in blue because i was not able to find them. thanks for the tip!

sh00k, I have the um-100 brown in 0.7. Weird color, but writes sliccckkk!! :D

I read on another site that the um-100s are being discontinued and replaced by the Signo um-120s. Same ink, slightly modified barrel, colors differ slightly. And probably a price increase? Just guessing on that last part.

LOL @ the brown pen. I bought a money green .7mm um-100 and .... well, it's just wayyyyyy too thick for me. the .5mm is absolutely perfect but there is such a huge difference in writing using a .5mm and a .7mm um-100...

i am keeping the green one and using the um-100 for my class notes for the remainder of the semester. im using this um-100 and also the jetstreams (.7mm and 1.0mm) that i've picked up ;-D

anyway, i have only one .5mm (black) um-100. im going to buy four more - two in blue, two in dark blue, and im buying a couple of refills for each as well. these things are too good to miss out on... well to me at least... =]
