Sample Ink

I noticed several people mention they would like to sample different inks and colors. Have a look over to Peartree

They have a huge selection of inks - brands and colors.

I've bought some of their samples. Pretty neat to be able to try out different fountain pen inks without investing a lot of money.
I love the Pilot Preras that I've bought from Jetpens, and most write wonderfully. But one of them, the problem child, has been VERY finicky/scratchy/irritating (and there was nothing wrong with the nib). By using the Pear Tree ink samples I was able to find a blue-black ink that makes this pen write smoothly -- the difference is like night and day!
Jetpens is always my first choice when buying pens and related stuff. But count me as a fan of the Pear Tree ink samples. :)

I have two sets of ink samples wending their way to me - even as we speak. What fun to try out lots of colors and not have to spend a fortunre doing it.
How cool to find a particular ink that made your new pen work well for you! I'd say the sample ink was a great investment!!
