Slicci Fix

I love the slim look and feel of the pentel sliccis, but know that some people have difficulty with using the ribbed grip and thin body in the long term. Yesterday, I was going through my old stuff when I came across this rubber grip my mom used to put on pencils to help me grip them properly when I was a kid. Just for fun, I slipped it over the slicci... it works like a charm!!
There are many such cushions (even some really cute Japanese cylindrical ones) that are constructed for the diameter of a pencil...and therefore a slicci... rather easier than finding another pen to fit the slicci refills into! :P

I have one of those, the grip, not the pen. There are commercially available "cushions" in most department stores (Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, etc.) here in America.
I say "here in America" because it finally dawned on me that this is an International forum and not all members are from the USA.

Good suggestion, Aleoneon! Excellent solution for exactly the problem you mentioned some have with the Slicci's. I actually love the slimness of the Slicci's and the ribbed area is nice as is. The only two things I'd love to see for an improvement on the Slicci would be 1) a classier design....maybe a "professional" variation or something...maybe silver or black bodies, flat ends, matte finish maybe. Same inks and refills though. And 2) maybe a retractable version....especially if along the "pro" description I just mentioned. These are awesome pens, but I'm not big on these clear pointy ended pens that so many are these days.

Doesn't it bother you that you can't see the ink levels when the pen is one solid color? It drives me nuts when I can't track my progress.

I take apart penson a regular basis to check ink levels when I can't tell how much I've used....
It's the one thing I don't like about my Lanbitou.....writes wonderfully, wish I could tell the ink level.
I seriously need some sliccis. What's the best place to buy them from in a 10-pack? I think I'd like to to get a 0.25mm set....
