Hi. I'm new here.
A few years ago, I had a Rotring 600 series ballpoint pen that I managed to score on eBay for about $20. I really liked the feel of it -- hexagonal cross section, heavy, thin. I thought the refill inside was just average, but it was the same size as a Parker, so I replaced the refill with a nice fine point Parker refill.
One day a few years ago, I left the pen on my desk at work, and the next morning it was gone. I was really annoyed, but I figured that I could just go and buy another one for $20. Well, I figured wrong!
Eventually, I bought a Zebra F-701 to fill that gap, and I like it, but it's not as heavy and not as thin.
How is the A.G. Spalding & Bros Hexagonal Body Ballpoint Pen by comparison? I can't tell from the description if the body is dense metal or lightweight aluminum. Any other pens in the same vein I should look in to?
