Uni-ball Jetstream multi pen in 1.0MM?

Lobo - 01 Aug 2009, 10:12 pm
Hello,

I'm searching for Jetstream multi pens. I have the .5MM and .7MM models that Jetpens sells, but I stumbled onto this page:

http://www.mpuni.co.jp/product/category/ball_pen/jetstream2/spec.html

I don't read Japanese but it looks like the SXE3-400-10 is the 1.0MM version. Has anyone found this one online? I actually like the black clip. (I've always found the white clip on the .7MM model, which is my favorite, to be a negative about the pen.)

I built my own 1.0MM Jetstream multi pen by using one of my .7MM bodies and putting the 1.0MM refills in it.

Can't wait for Jetpens to get the .7MM Jetstream refills for the Style Fit.

Of all the Jetstreams, I prefer the .7MM. I do use the 1.0MM from time to time, both the versions I've bought from JetPens as well as the domestic (US) versions. I have the .5MM multipen, but the point is a little too "scratchy" for my taste.

I'm waiting for JetPens to get the Jetstream refills for the Style Fit. The one thing I don't like about the Style Fit is that it doesn't take the same refills as the standard Jetstream multipen. The barrel is too long, and to my mind there's no good reason for Mitsubishi to do that. Unless they just wanted to make more money from selling a new refill.

I'm hoping the Style Fit gets a larger selection of refills. I like the Signo refills too, but I have the same "scratchiness" problem with the .28MM and .38MM sizes. But a DIY-multipen system is a neat idea.
