Writing Samples Wanted For Slicci
Passion - 03 Jul 2009, 10:06 pm
Does anyone have any writing samples for the Slicci gel pens in .4mm? I want to check out some of the colors before I buy them.
Thanks!

i have a .4mm in blue but do not have any samples of my writing. all i gotta say is that it's soooo smoooth. to me, the difference in smoothness writing onto paper between the .7mm and .4mm are pretty close. there is a difference - the .4 feels a little scratchier but it's still very very fluid writing onto paper. the .7mm is a dream to write with.
i hope this helps any. i got the .3mm one recently and it's SOOOOO scratchy - i hate it =( the .4 and .7's are now my bffs.

lolol. Thanks for the info. That cleared up half of the problems. The other half I'm interested in is readability. I'm worried about how legiable some of the lighter colors are going to be.

Don't be sorry, I had nothing better to do :) Besides, must practise my google-fu!

I have almost all of the Slicci colors in .4 -- they are my absolute favorite pens. (I still love my Signo DXs and RTs, but the Slicci is number 1 in my book.) Sleek, classy design, fits well in my hand, and writes wonderfully.
But another thing Slicci does right, in my opinion, is color. Beautiful colors and all legible. I'm only missing about 4 colors out of 21 (they're oranges). So far, the baby blue is the lightest one I've encountered -- it's a lovely color, perfectly legible, but a little too light to take long notes with it. The baby pink, on the other hand, is not pale at all. The lime green is fairly light, but I love the color -- but wouldn't take notes with it either. My favorite colors are the sky blue, the turquoise, the dark green, and the brown (which is a good brown, not too reddish).
And I'm with sh00k -- the .7s are a dream to write with. :)

mansikka: Thanks anyway :)
piper: Good to know, thanks. I like how the sky blue looks in the sample mansikka provided so it's now in my cart. I'm glad I made a good choice :D
