what changes would you make?

If the pen fairies were to grant you 3 wishes regarding variations/changes to existing pens, what would you wish for?

I would wish for

1. a true brown in the Signo DX and RT series. Gimme dat brown.

2. a line of mini Signo RTs

3. still thinking on this one...everybody knows wishes come in 3's

ok, I got it.

3. I wish for a green Signo RT.

Can I wish for them all to be free? ;)

More ink in refills

More colors of refills-blue, red, and black (and sometimes green) aren't enough.

1. A Zebra F-301 body with a .38mm gel refill.

2. A slim, refillable Uni-Ball Multipen with .38 red gel, .38 black gel, and a .3-.5 pencil.

3. A truly smooth, extra-fine nibbed fountain pen that laid down a .35-.38 line.

I think these, in general, would make me a pretty happy fellow. These are just my pen wishes. I would have a lot more when it came to paper, notebooks and journals...

1. Uni/Uniball to make a nice comfortable rubbery phat-gripped shell(s) for the Jetstream refills (the Jetstream Premier is nice but not quite perfect enough, and the Jetstream Alpha Gel seem cool, but maybe a bit thin, still), and Pentel to make one for the Energel refills. And to make them available in the US!!

2. Super fine-tipped gel pens to become truly smoother and scratch-free - and you don't have to write all slow just to keep them writing smoothly. For example - the Uni Bit .18mm and Hi-Tec-C Coleto .3mm (I think the Pentel had Energel 0.35mm's in Japan, but then discontinued them. I wonder if it was because they were more scratchy than smooth. I never got a chance to try one. :(). And I would like for them to come out w/ even more cushiony comfortable grippy shells for them.

3. More beautiful green shades in super smooth inks like Energel, Jetstream, and superior gel inks. And hopefully, just-as beautifully green-shaded comfortable shells/casings to go with them!! :)

And then if I can sneak in some extra somewhat-realistic requests:

- for the Jap. companies to make much more of their models available in the US!

- for the Jap. companies to come out w/ even more great products, beautiful colors, superiorly-designed shells/casings, etc.!

the changes that i would make to the Pilot G2 0.5 is that i want it to write smoother, cause i kind of feel that it is dragging along. it writes kind of slow

1. Bring back the Sheaffer Targa.
2. Make an italic nib for it while you're at it.
3. What's with the new thicker form factor for the Staedtler 925? Return it the original design.

Hmm. I guess I'm just a fogey.

all i dream about is a pen that makes your handwriting better and more consistent. If i focus and write, my penmanship looks like i wrote it on a bus driving over jagged rocks. =/

Well, I'm wishing again.

1. I wish I had a store near me that carried Japanese pens so I could try them out before I bought them, to see if I liked the color of ink, how it fits in my hand, how scratchy/smooth it writes, etc.

2. Failing that, I wish there was a swap list somewhere so I could swap my pen rejects with other people's pen rejects, since our tastes differ.

:) Reminds me of that eternal wisdom of the venerated Mother Goose:

If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride.
If turnips were watches, I'd wear one by my side.
And if ifs and ands were pots and pans, there'd be no work for tinkers!

My wish would be for a Uni-ball Alpha Gel pen casing that is like the original with the squishy grip and fat styling but fits the Jetstream refills and the retractable gel refills. The Jetstream Alpha Gel casing and the Premier 207 are just not as ergonomically correct as the original series. Also the grip doesn't go down low enough on the pen. I end up gripping the pen below the grip. Their design team didn't get this one right.

Wish One: I wish that a store near me sold afordable super-good quality notebooks in really pretty colors that I could use at school. This wish is pen related because I hate how my pens feel against the 10 cent spirals that I usually end up using at school.

Wish Two: I wish that the Uni-ball Signo DXs came in a multipen but still had their awesome nib shape and didn't convert to the Hi-Tec-C coleto nib type.

Wish Three: I wish that they invented a computer that had a peice of plastic as a keyboard and all you'd have to do is write on the plastic with your favorite pen instead of typing. You'd wipe it clean when you were done.

I wish they would make a mini Slicci. I would buy a ton. :D

My wishes:
1. Better Availability of just about every pen out there. I want finepoint pens to be sold in America, at my local office depot. I want the Stabilo's Move Nightfever to be available at my local Walmart. I hate having to track down things online, only to find that only a handful of sellers in the UK bother with them.
2. Lower prices! I don't expect them to be free, I just wish they would offer more discounts and incentives for people like us to get pens. I'm still saving up for my 4-color Hi-Tec-C Coleto Body's order(I have a main job, that only pays once a month, and then I do odd jobs on amazon's mturk for what amounts to change, but is better than taking out of my regular paycheck for it).

I'd be happy with those two. I'm tired of liking a pen, only to find that it's only sold in Europe(The Pelikan Level L5/L65, which I've wanted for FOREVER, is basically unattainable in the US). I'm also tired of paying exorbitant prices for pens that don't write like crap. Jetpens is my only splurge at the moment, and otherwise I never ever pay full price for something.

That's awesome. I've only heard "If wishes were fishes..." in reference to the recent rising in food prices.
