What in the world is pen spinning? You mean turning your pen with your fingers...it was THE thing to do in class in middle school
My fingers aren't coordinated. I couldn't master a thing. |

I've been spinning since high school... so around 15 yrs or so... I can do nothing as elaborate as you will see in the videos I will point you to...
always using the same pen helps alot... lots easier if the pen has decent balance and some weight to it (at least when first learning)
here are some sites either showcasing or demonstrating spinning techniques.
http://www.pentrix.com
http://www.superhandz.com/videos.html#penspinning
(be sure to check the other videos for other crazy dexterity stunts)
cheers,
Gabe |

but i can flip pens (anyone can do), but of course they're risky to do, otherwise if you drop it's game over _________________ Proceed and Retrieve.

I've been spinning seriously for about 3 / 3 and a half months now. Its really fun, but you have to work hard at conditioning your hand for many tricks. Its worth it, though.
haha, I actually found JetPens because I needed to buy HGGs, but they don't sell them in the US. So I ordered and sold out the white HGGs, and now I'm ordering many Computer Sign Pens. |

No, it doesn't really cramp up anymore. My fingers themselves used to get stiff around the first two weeks of spinning-- so I started warming up with the fundamental tricks (the charge, thumbaround, sonic, and fingerpass). The fingerpasses are a key to stretching your fingers out before doing harder tricks/combos.
What tricks can I do? Well, they range pretty far as of late. I'm currently practicing Demon's Sonic, Reverse Shadow Still 12 (12 meaning "between fingers 1 and 2"), Ringaround, and Reverse Fingerless Thumbaround--- if that gives you an idea of where I'm at though.
Do you spin at all, or are you at least interested in starting? |

I think you mean too old, too tired, and too uncoordinated. Ha, I think it's been far too long since you've consulted your MLA handbook! Just kidding.
In any case, I've been spinning since late 2008 and I believe that one of the best ways to improve is to watch videos for spinners you like and subsequently try to imitate them. Anyway, I have been trying to develop a Japanese spinning style. |
