JetPens customer Robyn loves to draw. Her painting of orchids posted on our Flickr page caught our eye. It's a beautiful use of our SAI brush pens and it's the winner of this month's JetPics Favorite contest. Join our Flickr and Facebook groups for your own chance to win simply by uploading a picture!
This graphite eraser test by JetPens Flickr friend rAVENCROAKING caught our eye and won this month Flickr favorite. We like how he shows the effectiveness of certain erasers against certain lead grades. Thank you for adding it to our Flickr pool!
See FriXion ink disappear and reappear when exposed to heat and cold!
Our customer and friend Gentian does an awesome trick with the thermo-sensitive FriXion pens. The ink of these pens are heat sensitive and are thus erased by friction. However, they can also be erased with heat from a blow dryer, tea kettle (to be safe, we don’t recommend this), or any other heat producing object! The best thing is, the thermo-sensitive ink will reappear when exposed to cold, for example when it is put in the freezer or in this case when put on top of a frozen Boca burger box!
The tiny cross stitching detail on these pictures is just amazing. All were done with superfine Hi-Tec-C pens! Lauren is a JetPens customer who finds drawings like these in her Moleskine relaxing (so do we!). One of her two-page drawings took over four refills!
We just wanted to introduce our JetPens Dog Charlie. During his free time he works in Quality Control. The painting was done by our JetPens resident artist Shu with a sample pack of Pentel Oil Pastels from our friends at Pentel USA. Thanks Debbie for the samples, they worked beautifully!
This is the third post of a series of artwork created by students from Barry Fitgerald’s Illustration Class in Kansas University. Students were equipped with fine point gel pens from JetPens.
They were given the task of creating a project revolving around the theme of “details”. The results were spectacular and we are honored and happy to share it with our JetPens audience.

Summary: The concept for this drawing was to express detail in both concept and content. I decided for my drawing to illustrate the dead mans hand in poker. This is the hand Wild Bill Hickok was holding during the time of his murder. I felt this idea captured the idea of detail in two ways. First I found it interesting that they recorded the hand he was holding during his death and that detail would be missed by many. Secondly playing cards are very detailed and would fit the theme well.

Summary: This image was constructed using the theme of detail. In order to fully express this theme, I had to ponder on the idea, “what does detail even imply?” After processing this thought, I narrowed down the idea of detail in my mind down to two subjects: robotics and nature. Both of these are full of infinite detail. I ended up emphasizing nature’s minimalistic aspects due to the fact that the complexity and detail of nature resides within its simplicity. In robotics on the other hand, the detail is evident in the working parts and machinery.
