I bought just one piece to try out.

The nib is pelleted at the tip and the writing experience is smooth. Nib is sensitive to provide good ink flow.

My pen comes with a fine point and I noticed that it is wider than the fine point of my Lamy AL-Star fountain pen. I expect Japanese nibs to be one size smaller than European nibs, but this Pilot Petit1 nib proves otherwise.

Like others have mentioned, the Petit1s are fun little fountain pens to use. They are very smooth in writing and made me want to use a fountain pen again (I hated the fact that most fountain pens I used had to be held a "certain" way or they would skip or get scratchy. I hate that, so I stopped using them and went to gel pens). For me, the ink seems to last a long time and like to sketch with them...

This is a great little fountain pen. The ink flow (I use a blue/black cartridge) is smooth and consistent and never skips. I've always liked the Pilot Varsity, but this may be even nicer. I also bought a Pilot Prera medium nib and I'm really disappointed in that. The Petit1 is much better, for much less.

This is a nice little fountain pen. The nib is a little wide, but by far the finest nibbed fountain pen I've ever used. It's completely cute, but I don't think I need one in every color. Basically, a good pen but not quite obsession worthy. :)
