I bought just one piece to try out.

The nib is pelleted at the tip and the writing experience is smooth. Nib is sensitive to provide good ink flow.

My pen comes with a fine point and I noticed that it is wider than the fine point of my Lamy AL-Star fountain pen. I expect Japanese nibs to be one size smaller than European nibs, but this Pilot Petit1 nib proves otherwise.

Great pen! Just bought one with the refill pod. Love writing with the smoothness of a fountain pen, and this one's great for that. Add to the mix the small, sleek size, which makes it great for travel, and you have a truly useful pen. Kudos to Pilot!! :)

Pros:
This is one of pilot's most adorable creations! And I love the color. It was seriously small too! I just love it. It writes so smooth, and easily. It's a very lovely looking pen.

Con:
I didn't like the fact that the pen was already loaded with the cartridge. Which can make it leak during shipping, which could be a problem.

This is one of the best, easiest to use fountain pens I've ever owned. Better than my Lamy, better than my Ohto, better than my Sheaffer. Now, if only they'd make the same pen, same design, just stretch it out another inch or two for more comfortable use in an adult hand! The pen is quite nice and the blue black is an excellent color, however the ink does "stem", like the leaf. The pen does deplete it's ink reservoir quickly also.
