For years now the Alpha gel has been famous for its squishy, soft gel grip. All those other "comfy" grips seem like hard rubber compared to this one. Squeeze it and it'll bring an instant "Oooooooo" to your lips. It's the same gel that's famous for keeping an egg from breaking even when dropped from a 5ft height!

Uni-Ball has realized the popular appeal of its gel grips and has now adopted it for its Jetstream line in Japan. Many of our customers will be ecstatic because they have always wanted the liquidy soft Alpha gel grip combined with a superior writing performance such as that from the Uni-Ball Jetstream. Jetstream is popular both in the US and overseas for its smooth writing, dark lines, and smear resistant technology.

The body for these pens is made of brushed metal. When held to the light you will find a textured look on the metal, giving it an almost wood-like appeal. Silver, black, and pink body colors are available.

I absolutely love the original Alpha Gel series pens and also love the Jetstream 1.0 ink. So when I ordered this pen for which I combined both, I thought I would have the perfect pen. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The style of the pen is cool looking but the gel grip doesn't start until much higher on the pen than the original series Alpha Gels. The entire Jetstream line of pens are hands down the smoothest writing instrument I've tried (and I've tried MANY). This pen is the creme of that crop! Unbeatably smooth writing, dark lines and a really nice casing. My only complaint with this pen is that the gel grip, while being very comfortable, is a slightly translucent white. I was a little skeptical of the squishy grip, but once by fingers adjusted, I love the grip :)
plus, the jetstream ink is just too awesome.
I used to be gel-pen person, but now I am okay writing with a ballpoint, as long as it is a jetstream :)
