Nice light pen, I like the barrel width and the way the ridges function as a
grip. Feels nice in the hand. What disappointed me a little was that I was
hoping this pen would basically be interchangeable with the Pilot B2P, which can
take gel refills or Jetstream ballpoint refills. It isn't--its refill is shorter
and narrower. The pen writes fine as it comes, it's not my favorite but it's
certainly acceptable. I am currently trying to modify an acroball refill to fit
(the spring fits correctly but it's too wide). If I can get that to work, I'll
be a happy camper. If not, I'll still use the pen but will be on the lookout for
a better refill.
My favorite ballpoint pen for note-taking. It writes a consistent, thin, dark
line with no skipping or blobbing. The grip and balance of the pen in your hand
are very nice. Compared to the 0.7 mm acroball it does have a little bit of
"scratchiness," by which I mean that the tip of the pen is sharp and you can
feel the pen-paper interaction, but it is minimal. I like a little scratch in my
pen for printing but like something smoother for cursive writing (like the
Uniball Jetstream 0.7 mm ballpoint). This pen rocks.
This pen writes a nice, smooth, dark line (which is actually similar in size to
that produced by the 0.5 mm acroball, just a little smoother). I really like the
grip and the way the pen feels in my hand. However, I am getting a lot of ink
blobs when I write. Other reviewers have not mentioned this problem so maybe I
just got a dud. I may buy a refill to test that out, but I think I'll be
sticking to the 0.5 mm acroball.
