WOW... just wow. when i need to use a mechanical pen for working i find myself
using this one more and more because of how comfy it is. over a hundred of
dollars worth of graphing pencils beat by a 3 dollar squishy purple piece of
i watercolor and ink and i'm always looking at prices for the products i buy the
most, and JetPens has them for a decent price. Sakura is a brand i buy often,
from their pens to their watercolors. the colors are vibrant and high quality,
perfect for students and professionals. the travel case is excellent, even
though i do use these for traveling i often use them at my studio as well. i
love the brush pen this case comes with, however i'm not too fond of using them
with cakes because they over saturate them and typically either fill the tube
with water and a bit of watercolor and use them as a pen instead. since the case
can be reused you can fill them with cakes or color or fill in a used pan with
tub color. the only gripe i have about this case is the plastic sheet inside
that hold the brush, watercolor cakes and sponges. the plastic is so flimsy and
thin that it often breaks. there have been a few cases i have bought and found a
bottom ripped off from one of the pans of color that i needed to repair it.
typically, when i use up all or most of the watercolors i just take out the
plastic thingy and put in cakes i've bought at the art store. the case the set
comes in and the pallet are awesome and i can't help but buy them when i need a
new set though.
bought this pen a while ago because i use fountain ink dip pens on occasion and
wanted to see if this worked as well as advertised. and it does! its point tip
isn't very versatile in that you can only write in a .6mm (estimate) nib. the
ink flow is beautifully even and lasts a bit longer than a metal tip. great pen
to have for fun, and from time to time i do use it in my work. also, great as a
watercolor scraping tool, however using it as this will damage your tip.
i love purple and bought this pen on a lark because i saw it came in .25mm. i am
now planning on buying the whole set because of how impressed i was by this
little pens' performance. smooth, easy to handle, perfect for those who write
small or need to use thin lines for projects, note taking or work. the ink also
lasts for pages! i was very shocked how long this pen lasted because not many
pens i use for actual writing have lasted long in my hands.
i can't BELIEVE these gel pens write and erase as well as they do! they are very
versatile in that you can use them for drawing and easily erase your mistakes,
use them for taking notes, journaling, essay writing, highlighting in text books
- the list goes on! i love the colors, the smooth flow of the ink, and the cute
design of the pens. i love these pens!
i have never ever been disappointed in anything Sakura has put out. i still have
the gelly rolls by Sakura from 1997 and they write just as good as when i bought
them. smooth, pretty and stable in color, and long lasting. the case these come
is cute too.
i don't think anybody has actually bought this for the gel ink pens, though they
are a bonus. the tin case is just so cute i have actually bought this item twice
for fear that if i lost or damaged one it would be gone forever.
I LOVE THIS BRUSH PEN! i found this pen about a year ago and until then i had
been using a brush and black ink to get the effects i want without bleed
through, ink spreading or smearing. great to use before coloring or during the
process of finishing a piece of art work in ink or watercolor.
