This little contraption..., March 19, 2011This little contraption is quite convenient. As always, I expected this to be a
little bigger than what it really is. When it said that it fits a small
pocketbook, they really meant SMALL. You can just fit an adult asian man's hand
in its large pockets. It's not bad though, I'm fitting it with I intended it to
fit anyway: my major art pens and pencils (plus extra!). :)
Now, first off the list: the color is more khaki than beige, I would say. So it goes amazingly with green cargo pants, jeans or even black/khaki/formal slacks (cheesey though :P) so no worries with matching it with clothes. Second, the belt it comes with is rather short. At least for how I 'intended' it to look like. It fits right on but I wanted it to sort of hang down a little instead of be up on my waist so I will end up using one of my own simple belts to pull it off. Compartments are very useful, like the chapstick/lip balm area and the numerous pockets, but ultimately, it doesn't fit more than essentials. **Do NOT read on if you do not intend to read with an open mind** Lastly, to all the guys out there who are afraid of wearing one due to "discrimination" (refer to reviews on other colors), don't sweat it. Wear it with pride. Make a statement. Most people who give you negative comments is due to their want to look cool or stand out too so they resort to retorts instead. :P Trust me, I've been thru it before. Now many people respect me with what I like to wear as odd as it may be. :) And of course, you've got your friend to back you up. |

My third pen holder from..., March 19, 2011My third pen holder from Tachikawa. The first two being the T40 and T26.
I have to say this one is my favorite so far. The T40 was my favorite because its comfy and had a cap. But it was my first and haven't experience other pen holder yet. Then followed the T26. It was MUCH smaller that the T40 and had nothing but a small simple wooden body. I use it for maru pens instead of the maru pen holder which is too thin for me to grasp. This one though, it's got the best of both worlds. In size, it's closer to the T26 than the T40. That's a good thing because the T40 barely made it in my 122kcal Roll Pencil case in terms of lenght and T26 was a shorty and hid a lot. I find the grip more comfortable that the T40, as well, since its got a certain curve to it. It doesnt have the cap T40 is famous for, but it's a well balanced pen holder and is WELL RECOMMENDED to those looking a good pen to start with. Lastly, as always with my reviews on other Tachikawa holders, I commend their pen holder mechanism. Since it can hold the G and maru sized pens its extremely convenient. I'm still hoping they come out with a double sided pen holder to make it easier for us hardcore artists out there! *hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge* |

It's a cute pencil bag..., March 17, 2011It's a cute pencil bag for all around use. I have to say, I've gotten many
comments and intrigued looks here and there, like one reviewer mentioned. It
fits more or less 18 pens. Which is just right for me as an artist that need his
necessities. What I've fit in it:
1) 3 colored writing pens, 2) 2 rotring 500/600 pencils (space still allows 2 more) 3) 3 tachikawa pens (T40, T25 and T26) 4-5) 6 Prismacolor multiliner pens It works for me but be warned that the T40 with it's cap BARELY (girigiri*) fits. |

I have this in .3mm and..., March 17, 2011I have this in .3mm and its full blown metal brother the silver rotring 600,
which is a .5mm, and I'm loving them both.
What I'm saying is, please restock on this so I can complete my collection of rotring drafting pencils. :D |

Though it can hold multiple..., March 10, 2011Though it can hold multiple types of nibs, I prefer using it for precision G and
Tama pens and in contrast prefer to use the Tachikawa-25 for the small
Maru/Round pen nibs.
It has a balanced feel to in in terms of weight and it's size perfectly fits my hands. The grip is helpful, but I end up holding it lower anyway. The cap is really helpful for storage and transport specially if you like using these pens for work, classes or just want to draw on the go. Tachikawa's line on holders are amazing for their idea of being able to hold variable pen sizes all around. Most likely the choice is all in preference, since their holders are high quality. *if only they made a double-sided manga pen holder* wink-wink.. |

Though it can hold multiple..., March 10, 2011Though it can hold multiple types of nibs, I prefer using it for precision
round/maru pens and in contrast prefer to use the Tachikawa-40 for the larger
widths of the G and Tama. It's very light and small in my preference but it get
the work done well without having my palm cramp like when I use regular
pens/pencils. Emphasizing on the weight, I wouldn't suggest it to people who
prefer their writing utensils to have a little mass to it; this one is extremely
light.

Besides the reliable..., February 3, 2011Besides the reliable and fast service jetpens always offers, this pencil arrived
with the rest of my order today.
It's simply amazing. I've been through quite a lot of mechanical pencils in the years but so far I think I'll be working with this one (and its younger brother the rotring 600 when it becomes available) for the longest. The grip feels right and the weight isn't too heavy since it's made of plastic and each end is made with metal. :) Everything feels very solid and with the .3mm size, it's perfect with fine detail. I use it for drawing artwork rather than actual drafting. |

I purchased its predecessor,..., February 2, 2011I purchased its predecessor, the rotring 500 0.35mm pencil and am amazed at how
it feels. I was looking at this one initially but it was out of stock, so please
restock soon! I'm even more excited at how "legit" the rotring 600 feels
compared to its older brother. :D
