A lovely blue/black,..., June 13, 2013A lovely blue/black, with more blue than black. Clear color with no teal,
green, etc. overtones. Performs beautifully in my Prera fine point pen.

I am very fond of this..., December 26, 2012I am very fond of this ink for its lovely color and impeccable behavior in pens.
It isn't my everyday ink, but sometimes is exactly the shade I want to use. It
is lovely and flows well in pens, but those looking for durability etc. need to
stick with Noodlers or Sailor Nano.

I really like this ink..., October 17, 2012I really like this ink because it is true blue and true black - no green or gray
overtones - and it's a quiet, practical color.

Beautiful colour. The..., October 4, 2012Beautiful colour. The ink has a true green cast, very subtle, but it goes down
like a black ink.

I find Bilberry Blue..., August 6, 2012I find Bilberry Blue to be a very attractive dark blue ink. It satisfies my
desire for an ink which is truly blue, although very dark, with no overt
evidence of black or teal. The color delights me. Worth the buy if you feel
strongly about dark blue ink. For example, if you think Sheaffer blue is a very
nice color, but not quite dark enough for all purposes, this might be what
you're looking for.

I was fortunate to get..., January 9, 2012I was fortunate to get one of these while they were in stock. The nib is great -
the medium is more like American fine. Good balance, nice small size. The
screw-on cap is a nice touch. I will get more when available.

I keep wanting to like..., November 26, 2011I keep wanting to like the Lamy pens, but the way the pen is shaped is
uncomfortable for me. I am left-handed, but I hold the pen the usual way, not
curling my hand over. The bumps on the pen which are very comfortable when I
hold the pen right-handed are awful for left-handed writing, so I end up holding
the pen on the bumps, not the indentations. If I could rotate the nib a
millimeter or two, I could hold the pen as designed and it would be wonderful.
As it is, I continue to use the Lamy pens I have because they are a pleasure to
write with.
I've found that Lamy pens have a "wet" nib with a generous ink flow. The extra-fine nib is best for me on the kinds of paper I use. |
