Is it too nerdy to have both a pen and pencil in your shirt pocket? Maybe, when you can't tell them apart from each other. F-701 needs to get something to differentiate it by touch. Filing a roughness on the button might do it. Both are favorites for me.

Good heft, stainless steel, and graspable knurling: lots of value for under $10.00. And refills are really affordable. Buy spares, they're worth it.

Pencil begs to be erased, and this pencil does erasure better than any other.

This pencil has a more troublesome clutch and feed mechanism than any I've ever owned. Save your money for something more reliable and less beautiful. This pen is TINY! I was surprised that it is so much smaller than the normal pen. It might work out for special uses, such as inside a journal or kept in a pocket. It isn't what it looks like in the picture. it is 4.75 inches long, very light, slim. Just a notice to other Jet Pen shoppers!
