I have to agree with the other reviews that say this is a neutral purple. The
box is a pretty decent representation of what the ink looks like dry. It isn't
flashy or shiny, just purple. I wouldn't mind something a little more flashy,
but I would consider this again, as I do use colored inks in note taking to help
me when I study.
The Good: the nib is very smooth for something that is $3, the ink wasn't hard
to start and flows wonderfully from the pen, light weight compared to some
fountain pens, the ink color is very nice, overall for the price a great value
The Bad: The nib has zero flex, it's as hard as a nail. I have yet to find a
paper that it doesn't feather on at least a little bit, and usually a whole lot,
you can refill but it's a hassle.
This one took forever to get started, and skipped a lot the first day or so.
After the first day was out of the way, it's been writing great. I think there
are better pens on here for about the same price. Might try this one again, but
with how nice the Morning Glory Mach II is, kind of hard to justify giving this
one a go again.
The color on this is more buttercup yellow than orange. It also seem fairly
pointless given that you can write perfectly fine with out it, it just adds a
little more girth to the pen. It also gets scuffed up and mis-colored with
every little bump it has against any sort of dark object. I won't be buying
this one again. Even if it breaks, I would rather just use the "refill" on it's
This pen has great black color and it does dry quickly however, it has bled
through just about every thing I can think of to write on. I would have
considered this pen again, but the nail in it's coffin for me was the stench.
The ink in this pen WREAKS, and is noticeable as soon as you start using it. I
hate stinky pens, so this one is a no go for future orders.
