I'm afraid I'm in the camp of those disappointed in a extra-fine nib that writes
medium-ish. I write small, but this thing is forcing the space in my log books.
I will say that to me it is very smooth on absolute crap paper (which is all
they give me at work) and plays happily in my little Rhodia notebook. I have
additionally noticed, unfortunately, that the ink flow isn't consistent,
regardless of the paper. This could be due to the J. Herbin Lierrre Sauvage ink
I'm running in a converter, or maybe I should try cleaning the thing. First time
going back to FP's after 30 years, maybe it's just me.
Really like the feel of the pen in my hand, very pleased with the smoothness
across the board, but way disappointed in the EF nib fiasco (should have
believed the other reviews). Probably won't buy any more for daily use, but I
can see using it with red ink to red-line drawings.
Pilot Penmanship Fountain Pen with Ergo Grip - Extra Fine Nib was one I've
picked out with an EF nib that is; a little scratchy, but really like the line
