Uni SA-14CN Ballpoint Pen Refill - 1.4 mm - Black - UNI SA14CN.24
  I purchased about a dozen..., January 28, 2014
I purchased about a dozen of these ballpoint refills to use for my Uni Alpha Gel pens, because my confidence in Uni and Mitsubishi inks was very high due to my experience with the inks I used in their amazingly-designed refillable pens. But unfortunately, I have had to throw the majority of my refills away due to unacceptably poor ink quality and performance. The majority of refills I tested were very slow to get flowing, with many occasional clumpy ink spots which easily smear and transfer onto skin/surfaces and smudge the paper on which they were written, inconsistent paper saturation, many skips - regardless of handwriting pressure used, hardness of surfaces beneath paper, or pen design.

I even tested these refills outside of my pen, in order to rule out pen design incompatibility and problems due to not distributing enough even pressure on the ballpoint tips. Well, what a huge waste of time! Bottom line, I would NEVER buy refills made by Mitsubishi again. These were not the only ones I purchased, I also tried the exact same 1.4 mm ones in blue, and black and blues at 1 mm, with the same poor results with all. Waste of my time, and way too much of a hassle! I do not suggest purchasing Mitsubishi ballpoint refills, and for heaven's sakes, I certainly don't recommend stocking up on a lot of them!
Pentel RSVP Ballpoint Pen - 0.5 mm Fine Point - Green Ink - PENTEL BK90-D
The pen design is acceptable;..., January 28, 2014
The pen design is acceptable; lightweight, comfortable to work with, easily color-identified from other pens, and seems like it would be very simple to replace any possible refills. However, the ink I received with my pen, was of extremely poor quality, and greatly disappointing! While the green ink color did match expectations, regardless of paper used, the ink often clumped up unexpectedly, and occasionally skipped. Information printed on the ink barrel which came with my pen reads: "03 Pentel BKL7 MEXICO 10 09".
Kokuyo Dual Head Keshipita Correction Tape - 4 mm X 10 m - KOKUYO TW-M284
Wow!! I love this correction..., May 30, 2012
Wow!! I love this correction tape!

I finally had a chance to use this tape today. I used the tape to correct a small... though very noticeable... spelling error within a greeting card note... and it was as if the mistake never happened! My greeting card liner paper I used was off-white or ivory... so I was a little bit nervous about using this tape. Though... this tape did not seem to draw attention from the paper overall. Perfect!

I am a little concerned about leaving the tape exposed to air now that I have taken it out of the package. I hope that by storing it in a small plastic bag for now... until I find a better place or pouch to store it... that will help the tape to last a little bit longer.

For now, though... right out of the package, I think this correction tape works great!! The application was smooth, and after applying the tape there were little to no impression marks left on the card from having used the tape. I hardly remembered I had even used it until I realized I needed to do something with the correction tape since I had opened it.

Just great!! Like I wrote before... it was as if the spelling mistake never happened!! Excellent!
Pilot B2P Bottle to Pen Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Blue Ink - PILOT 31601
  My purchases: I bought..., May 24, 2012
My purchases: I bought B2P in colors black and blue.

In dim-lighting, the identical barrel coloration and design of each pen make the pens very difficult to differentiate. I think the only noticeable ink indicators are only visible under brighter light: the lighter blue ink of the blue pen, the pen clicker colors, and the written color indicators on the pen labels. I have found it too easy to accidentally presume the dark-blue barrel of the black pen indicates blue ink, or vice versa, since the barrels are the exact same in dark-blue plastic coloring. I think this is a minor, or maybe major, problem, with implications for many specific writing needs and particular environment conditions; and due to it, I have limited my use of B2P pens for informal, casual, non-professional use only.

My issues with the B2P identical barrel coloration aside, for such a reasonable price, and very cool concept, buying several B2P pens seemed like a great idea, and I would buy more again. The pen cost is inexpensive for the higher quality of pens I believe I have with my B2Ps compared to even cheaper alternatives. So, considering the low-cost alone, and noble cause to bring awareness to environmental implications, overall I think the B2Ps are better than OK. The ink performance is good, and up to the standard of quality I have gratefully experienced from all Pilot pens. In the future though, I would consider buying or using only one of the three colors of B2P ink options available... I hope this information is helpful to you!
