I have had this pen for a LONG time now. I love it so, so much. I see the price
has gone up by a dollar since then, but still. I just bought another one in lime
green (I feel like I am now set in terms of pencils for the next decade or so.)
Oh and the grip is phenomenal.
I have absolutely no complaints over the last four and a half years of owning
and frequently using this pencil.
I don't know why people don't really like the color of this pen, I think it is
great! It's fairly dark even for being labeled "Midnight Blue" and it writes
smoothly for such a thin pen. I'm really happy with my purchase. :]
It writes so smoothly, it is a dark (but bright) blue color. The scent is
sometimes strong, sometimes not...I don't know about you but for me it's really
nostalgic. If anyone every used those Mr. Sketch scented markers in middle
school, it smells like that. (The Blueberry kind). I knew these pens were good
but I didn't expect them to be this amazing and for so little too! It's also a
fairly thin line, I can't wait to start writing with these!
I bought this for a friend and it worked really well! writes a bit more smoothly
than the 0.25 mm pens but I still love both of them. The color comes out evenly
and it\'s not too dark a purple (like royal purple). Great pen, worth the $.
Blue Suede is more like a Forest Green. If you're looking for a teal you might
be disappointed, but this color is similar to Sherwood Green so you green-lovers
might be satisfied. I've always had trouble with Private Reserve inks so in
small amounts it's rather hard to use in converters but otherwise it's a nice,
I had a small sample of this color and thought it might be difficult to pull
into a converter with only 2mL but it cooperated very well. The color is a
bright blue, but not uneasy on the eyes. It shades beautifully and looks great
in fine to thicker nibs. Highly recommended.
Writes smoothly, haven't had a problem with bleeding or leakage. The gold/black
design is very streamlined and lovely to have. I find this pen works well with a
majority of inks, although it's somewhat difficult to handle when the ink is
running low. Overall though, I'm very happy with this purchase.
I really love the sleek design of this pen, and it writes wet so you don't have
to put much pressure on it, although when it runs out of ink you need to be
rather patient. I find holding it upside down for 30 seconds or so works to keep
the ink flowing (but that too might depend on the brand of ink). This pen works
really well with its Ohto Converter and hasn't had a problem with bleeding or
leaking. Overall a really great pen.
