Cute as a bugs ear...and..., April 10, 2012Cute as a bugs ear...and it has a beautiful Bock nib that performs very well. A
very light fountain pen, nice finish, machining. Clean the pen with a dilute
solution of ammonia or Dawn liquid detergent and water, rinse well(gets rid of
manufacturing oil). Pat dry. Make sure your feed is lined up with the nib. Load
a Kaweco or Herbin cartridge, tap the nib gently on your paper to get the ink
flowing. Enjoy. Oh and the cap posts perfectly allowing a lot more length to the
pen.
Great little fountain pen! |

Beautiful...right out..., April 7, 2012Beautiful...right out of the box. Smooth silent mechanism. The finish is
spectacular. Its a fairly big fountain pen, but comfortable even in my small
hands. I rinsed the nib and feed in dilute ammonia (rids manufacturing oil).
Popped in a Pilot black cartridge. It writes well with minimal feedback due the
the gold nib. I almost like this more than the vanishing point. Rest assured you
can carry this bad boy into any meeting and no one will hear it...but heads will
turn when it comes into view. Dont hesitate...get it.
pros- *perfect finish laquer/plating *silent mechanism *great nib (fine) *nice design overall *writes well with good ink flow (rinse nib and feed first) cons- *It would be nice to more colors added to the range |

Spectacular compact bright..., March 26, 2012Spectacular compact bright silver fountain pen. The first thing I did was to
wash the entire pen in a dilute solution of ammonia(removes residual
manufacturering oil). Rinse well. Check the nib feed alignment(the black plastic
part underneath the nib, it should be centered under the nib itself). Get some
good paper. Clairfontaine or Rhodia. Load up a Kaweco black cartridge. This is
where you can really see how your pen will perform(on good quality paper). I
love this fountain pen. It looks great in the tiny Kaweco sport leather pouch
available from Jetpens also.
ENJOY! :O) |

in soapy water, rinsed it and blew the excess water out of it, loaded up a black
Kaweco cartridge, Wow! this sweet pen writes wonderfully . Its a juicy nib, with
great flow and a super smooth. The finish is good. medium weight. I write
unposted so the balance was perfect. Jet Pens also has some nice short
international cartridges by J Herbin packed in tiny cylindrical tins that should
fit the Kaweco AL Sport. They have a quite a selection of ink colors and some
scented inks.
Highly Reccomended. |

This is one beautiful..., March 9, 2012This is one beautiful fountain pen. Excellant quality. The nib inked up
beautifully right out of the box with the Sailor ink converter. I filled it with
Sailor Black Nano ink. Fine precise cursive lines. A nice introductory pen for
those getting ready to make the leap into the exciting world of fountain pens.
I got little adrenaline rush when I first opened the box :o) ***Sailor is known for their fine nibs. |

Beautiful smooth high..., March 6, 2012Beautiful smooth high quality graphite. My favorite 2mm brand. I would love to
see some softer 5B and up graphite available too...but for now this is as good
as it gets. Mitsubishi is outstanding. Nice dispenser also.

Solid well made leadholder...., March 6, 2012Solid well made leadholder. On the heavy side but very well balanced. Knock
button mechanism works flawlessly with no rattle. Knurled grip is comfortable
with no sharp edges. No lead play (wobble). Can be broken down to gently clean.
Lovely drawing pencil. |
