This nib holder is very good. Its not too heavy or light. The mahogany makes
this look very aesthetically pleasing. The nib that comes with it is junk
though. I recommend buying this and some Brause nibs.
I concur with the other reviews here. This ink is great for dip pens. I'm no
ink expert, but after drying the ink get a raised feel and is extremely glossy,
which is what I was looking for when writing with my dip pen.
I love extra fine, and this is very fine. Because the lines are so fine, its
great for writing on small notepad, or if you would like fine lines in general.
This pen needs some use time before you can properly use it. In the beginning
is will cut through paper and get some debris on the slit, which will force you
to flex the nib to clean the debris out. Over time it will get smoother and no
longer issue with cut paper getting in the slit, but it is still a very scratchy
pen. Because it uses such a low amount of ink each refill last for a while. Oh
and the price is great. I carry this and Plumix with me at all times.
This is great for italics. Two things that make me knock 1 star out of it.
First it is SUPER wet, maybe a ticker ink would solve, not sure. Second is for
some reason the tapered part keeps coming loose (unscrewing itself) with the
feed housing. Maybe I got a bad one...
First day of use with with Monteverde Mini Fountain Pen Converter and Lamy T52
Fountain Pen Ink. By the end of the day, the feed housing filled with ink and
started to drop blobs of ink through the front part of the feed housing.
