basically the claim to fame of this is that is has a sturdier tip than the hi-tec-cs. I have 2 of these sliccis and 3 hi-tec-cs and I have never had a problem with the tips of any of the HTCs. and, in comparison, the HTCs come with a LOT more ink for the same amount of money. hi-tec-c it is!!

Bought this as a refill...

Bought this as a refill for the red journal after I used it up. This one is nowhere near as nice as the lined one! There is no fabric reinforcement on the spine, no cute little info in the front or piece of ribbon as a bookmark. Just plain pages. Will get lined refill next time...

I love this journal....

I love this journal. the faux leather cover is surprisingly flexible, does not stick up at all but is sturdy enough to write on. It looks very nice. The pages are very nice too, lovely to write on. there are conversion tables and a big list of global area codes in the front (other stuff there too), and a few pages of an address book in the back.
the only bad thing is that at the very beginning (and I assume at the end) it is difficult to write because you can't help writing over the edge of the cover and that messes up your writing. this clears up after a few pages.
overall, I really love this journal and will proabably get the refill when I use this one up.
