This is my favorite shade of brown ink. The ink has reddish undertones and
flows smoothly in all the pens I have put it in thus far. Some folks say that
the Monteverde inks are slow to dry, and this may be true, but I find that the
ink flows so smoothly in all my pens that I am willing to tolerate a slower
This is my first brush pen (I'm a huge fountain pen fan). I decided to try the
Pilot Petit 3 out of curiosity. I love that you can write while barely touching
the pen to the paper. This is such a fun pen to use, it writes reliably, and at
such an affordable price, I would recommend that everyone give it a try.
I'm a big fan of the Pilot Petit 1s so I had to get a few of the reisue. This
latest version retains the good looks and smooth, reliable writing of the
original Petits, but improves it with a clear collector section, making this a
true demonstrator pen. The new version of this pen has a slightly longer barrel
(approx 0.25 inches) which may make it more comfortable for people with larger
hands (personally, I find it comfortable to write with both the older and newer
This is a fantastic entry level pen, a great little gift item, and a pen that is
so affordable that you can splurge and buy one of each color! I have nothing
but good things to say about this pen!!!!
This is a really nice pen. It writes very smoothly and puts down a
fine/extra-fine line that is typical of the Japanese fine nibs. The pen is light
weight and feels comfortable in my hand (medium size female hand). There are
numerous pens sold at over twice the price of this pen that cannot match it for
writing quality and appearance.
This is a fantastic pen for the price. The nib is fine, and (unilike some other
pen brands) I find that it does write fine. The pen writes very smoothly and I
find the dark green color of the ink and the pen (the body of the pen is a dark
green teal color) very attractive. I like this pen so much that I have ordered
more in some other colors.
