I love this pen to pieces. It looks great, has a good weight, and the fine nib
writes smoothly (line thickness similar to an 0.4mm roller ball) with only a
slight amount of scratching on a Field Notes memo book.
I previously had the medium nib "dot" version of this pen, and it wrote about an
0.7 mm equivalent line thickness and bled a bit on the Field Notes memo book. I
recommend both versions.
I'm coming back to fountain pens after a long hiatus. I love the way this pen
looks and feels in my hand. It writes very smoothly. The cap is secure on the
front and back.
The one thing I don't like about it is that it's really not a fine nib. It lays
down a pretty thick line, comparable to an 1.0mm pen. I got the Pilot
Metropolitan pen at the same time. Although that pen is labeled as a medium nib,
it lays down a thinner line than this one.
I just bought eleven different kinds of pens and this is my favorite of the
bunch. I scarcely have to use any pressure to produce a consistent fine line.
Comfy to hold. My one concern is that when I store the cap on the back of the
pen it seems a little loose there.
This pen puts down a tidy thin line but I found that it skipped some unless I
put the paper down on a flat surface and used a certain amount of pressure. The
0.7mm version didn't have that problem but the line wasn't as delicate.
