This is a smooth gel pen that is comfortable to write with. However, it runs out
of ink in no time! (I'm writing thesis notes on a Black n' Red 8x12" notebook,
and the refill runs out in 4-5 pages.) I give this refill 3 stars instead of 2
because the color is truly lovely: vivid, but easy on the eyes.
I got the pen about a month ago. It is a very sturdy and heavy pen, and the
pearly finish looks beautiful. It's more of a darker pink than red, but it looks
just like it does on my computer, so that was expected. The only reason I'm not
giving the pen five stars is because the pen refills don't last very much at
all. I would reccomend this pen to someone who writes in pencil more, and only
wants the pen component for some notes here or there, signing documents, etc.
I bought this a while back. It's a nice, sturdy notebook and has survived days
in my bag jumbled with all my other stuff. The leatherette cover is nice and
My issue with this notebook is the paper. I prefer writing with fountain pens,
but this paper is not a fan of them. Every ink and fountain pen combination I
have tried with this notebook leaves minimum to severe bleed-through (to the
point where other pages are stained), and even gel ink pens leave a noticeable
shadow on the back of the page. It is completely overpriced for what it is.
I'd recommend you only buy this if you mostly like writing with pencils,
ballpoint or felt tip pens. For fountain pen users, it's just not worth it.
You'll only be able to use one side of the paper.
Nice color; it's usable for work. However, to get any variation in stroke width,
you have to press down pretty hard and even then, it's not much of a difference.
Pretty disappointed in that aspect. However, it is a good extra fine felt tip
pen. You could just use the refill by itself, because it includes a cap.
Cute pen body, but it looks pretty cheap (because it is). The letters on the
grip of mine rubbed off on the second day I had it. However, it rubbed off
completely, so it doesn't look bad, I was just expecting it to last longer.
I only use dip pens for writing because I'm fickle about ink color. The tank
master nibs hold a surprising amount of ink. (I was able to fill out a page from
my exacompta lined journal with it.) My only complaint is how scratchy the nib
is. Before cleaning it, I noticed it had paper fibers stuck in it. Still, it's
great to be able to write for so long continuously.
This has saved me so much money. I wish I'd known about it sooner! I'm a student
and I was a research assistant, so I'd go through at least 1 highlighter a
month. Now, I only have to refill my highlighter each time I run out. I
definitely recommend this for students!
I'm not a fan of the actual ink, though. I merely used it until the cartridge
was empty and refilled the cartridge with J. Herbin's Diabolo Menthe using a
Love this pen! It's beautiful! I especially love the rubber grip. It makes the
pen even more comfortable to use than the Lamy Safari.
The pen is bulkier than the Safari (the cap, specifically), though not by much.
I bought this pencil for the color, and it's just beautiful! In my screen, it
looked a bit bluer than it actually is, but the color is still lovely. (I think
it's the exact same color of a Godiva mint chocolate chip truffle.)
I only use it for regular writing, since I'm not an artist, and I'm very pleased
with it. It's very comfortable to hold and use.
