I have been buying jetstream refills for several years. But I agree in the last
12-18 months the refills are hit and miss. About 1 in 4 perform the way they
used to. The others leak, "skip" and don't have a nice flow or stop working all
together. I probably have about 8 variations of the jetstream and am hesitant to
have to change all of them to another brand.
I have these highlighters in all three sets (mild/fluorescent, deep/warm,
cool/refined). After trying several brands, this is hands down my favorite
highlighter. I like the dual tips and the color selection. This color set is the
one that I tend to use most often, but would recommend them all.
I use this for my change in purse. I love it. It is durable and perfectly sized.
Not too big or too small. I would say that the random fluff and cat hair in my
purse sticks to the silicone, but it cleans easily with a quick wipe.
I own this pen in orange, silver and black. I have red ink refills in this one,
blue in the silver and black in the black. It is the ONLY pen that I use at
work. I also have the $15 silver cushioned grip pen that I use at home for
writing letters. The ink flows like a gel pen, but doesn't smear. My only
comment is that occasionally I will get a refill that tends to come out in
blobs, but I would say that is only in about 1 in 10 refills.
If you are buying these for a toddler (who is most likely to need an easy to
grip crayon) they are only so-so. The fact that they stack and have nice colors
make them fun to play with and pretend they are ice cream cones. But they are
quite slick and require you to push very hard on the paper to make them show up,
which is not easy for a toddler. Textured paper works better, but even then you
have to push quite hard.
